Meet Rebecca

 

Rebecca Ahrens, MS, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Rebecca is a registered and licensed Master’s level Occupational Therapist. Rebecca received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Youth Development Programs from Clemson University. She then went on to earn her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Florida Gulf Coast University. 

Rebecca completed her fieldwork experience at Building Blocks Pediatrics and she is so excited to be part of the BBP team. Throughout her graduate program, Rebecca was involved in research focused on the importance of parent-child relationships on development, and has led community playgroups in partnership with the Early Intervention services offered in Southwest Florida. Rebecca previously worked as a preschool teacher and has experience working with children of all ages and abilities. Rebecca has experience working with children with ADHD, autism, Down Syndrome, and motor delays. 

In her free time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing with her puppy, reading, and exploring the Atlanta area.
