Meet Anna

Anna Hicks, MS, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Anna is a registered and licensed Master level Occupational Therapist.  Anna received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education with a concentration in Exercise Science, and a minor in English from Georgia College and State University.  She received her Master of Science degree in occupational therapy from Georgia State University. 

Anna has clinical experience working with pediatrics across various settings, including schools, daycares, outpatient clinics, and homes.  She is passionate about play-centered therapy and empowering families and children with the support and education they need to succeed.  She believes that every child is unique and therefore there is not a one-size-fits-all approach.  Anna has experience treating children using the DIR/Floortime Model, the Zones of Regulation curriculum, sensory integration, Handwriting Without Tears, and techniques from Learn Play Thrive Approach to Autism, among others. Anna has clinical experience treating children with ADHD, Autism, Down Syndrome, genetic disorders, Cerebral Palsy, and developmental delays.

In her spare time, Anna enjoys all types of exercise, from tennis to Yoga, as well as spending time with her cat, Hallie, and her husband. She is thrilled to be a part of the BBP team.
