Meet Sarah

Sarah Gingrich, MHS, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Sarah is a master’s-level board-certified occupational therapist. Sarah’s passion for occupational therapy grew out of various volunteer and study-abroad experiences with both children and adults living with disabilities domestically and internationally. Sarah worked with Building Blocks for several years before returning in 2021 after working as an OT in Charlotte, NC, for several years. 

Sarah graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She earned a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the Medical College of Georgia.  She has clinical experience with a variety of pediatric populations and has training in adult orthopedic and neurological conditions. Sarah received specialty training and experience in pediatric hemiplegia treatment and constraint-induced movement therapy while working in Charlotte, and loves working with this population.

Sarah utilizes various treatment modalities including Handwriting Without Tears, The Zones of Regulation self-regulation curriculum, interoception, sensory integration, and neuro-developmental approaches to help her patients achieve their goals. Sarah has completed advanced training in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding as well as the Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention program, NDT handling, and dyspraxia evaluation and intervention. She is passionate about helping all children realize their potential and loves seeing them succeed and have fun during therapy!

Sarah serves as the Vice President of Little Flower Catholic Therapy Missions, a non-profit organization committed to providing therapy-based caregiver training and wheelchair donations in at-risk countries. In her spare time she enjoys painting, dance, and cooking.`
